a birthday treat w/ pedor (ft21)

january was obviously pedor's month. so, when his birthday came i decided to treat him with one of his favorites. burgers! yeah. this ain't no ordinary burger though. we had brunch at irie gastropubliko and i had him indulge in irie's angus burger. but wait...there's more. check out his order.


pedor's order. bacon porn. (the burger's name got porn on it, so this has definitely caught his attention. lols. - just my guess, shhhh). bacon porn comes with classic angus, bacon, bacon jam, cheddar, house ketchup, sour cream and bacon bites. he has gotten not only one but two of his favorites (sooo lucky that guy). it was like heaven with a whole lotta bacon on it.


because it wasn't my birthday, i went with the simpler one. :)  i ordered their classic angus with lettuce, onion, cheese, and brioche bun and i requested for an extra cheddar cheese

lunch at an island w/ pedor (ft20)

an escape from the stressful life of the city, pedor and i went back to camotes island last december for a 3-day getaway. i planned out everything on that trip including where to take our lunch on the second day, lol. and so we went to pito's sutukil at santiago bay because pedor wanted to try out pito's sashimi and mainly because i haven't been there though i already visited camotes before. by the way, sutukil stands for sugba (grilled), towa (soup) and kilaw (ceviche). here are some of the foods that went through our tummy that day :)

these crazy crabs w/ pedor (ft19)

a sucker for sea food. yes, that's me. i dragged pedor one time to try out these succulent crabs from crazy crabs at gaisano country mall in banilad. i found out about this place when i was browsing through the net one boring afternoon. 




i ordered their garlic crab with rice combo

pedor on the other hand tried their coconut milk crab with rice combo


we ordered their sinigang shrimps as well but i was kinda disappointed with it because the shrimps were too small to be cooked for sinigang (this explains why i don't have a picture of it..lol). may be it just didn't meet my expectations or may be i was just not in the mood for it. nevertheless, those crabs did satisfy my seafood craving for that day.

seafood lunch date w/ pedor (ft18)

saturday rest day-lunch date. we're supposed to be having a balbacua feast as i've really missed those suckers but pedor was craving for some baked scallops and i can't say no to this either.


AA BBQ's shrimps in butter and garlic. 


sadly, scallops were not available when we went there.  we had 2 choices, tahong (mussels) and talaba (oysters). obviously, as shown on the pic, we opted for AA BBQ's baked talaba. the cheese mixture on their baked talaba and any other baked dishes are to die for (me, kinda exaggerating). for every time that we've dined here, pedor and i will really discuss as to what comprises the cheese mixture. and then there's this challenge to try and replicate it at home which i'm not able to do so, lol.

random eats on a saturday night w/ random people (ft17)

no sleep on a saturday due to a series of events which i can't say no to.


McDonald's iced mocha. it helped me survive more than 24 hours of having no sleep. i never thought it would be that good for only P40+


a saturday night will never be complete without any red horse beer lol.  perfect combo: red horse beer + Kul's spicy chilli wings.

first ever official team lunch. we had it at ocean garden. the metro's best kept secret. sea food? cheap prices? yeah, ocean garden.

hearty dinner w/ labidabs (ft15)

this is a super late post. a continuation of our moalboal trip last december. as mentioned on my last post, pedor and i took the time to chillax down south.  We had dinner at club serena's restaurant.

my take:  club serena's grilled pork belly and mushroom soup
